Promote and Market Your Websites
Not only have you developed an online business program, but you've also taken the time to thoroughly design your website and made sure that you're offering a product or service that is valuable. You've also included a page so that consumers can easily contact you, your information is fresh, unique and informative, and now it's a matter of going one step further and gaining even more website traffic.
Most consumers online will find your site through search engines such as Yahoo, Google, and many others. It's important that your website is submitted to major search engines and gets cycled through search engine submission programs to gain in popularity and rank so that consumers can find you easily. Most consumers will go through the first page on search engines, and maybe the second, if you're not in those first two pages there's a good chance you won't be seen.
One of the ways to gain in popularity on the search engines is to have valuable keyword content linked within your website. What this means is that you will have articles, facts, tips, and other information as pages on your website that have valuable key words. Keywords are what people used to enter into the search engine when they're looking for a particular product or service. For example, if a consumer is looking for a bagless vacuum, the word bagless vacuum, vacuum bagless, vacuums, vacuums without bags, technology vacuums and many other words might be typed into the search engine. If these words are found within your website, your website will come up as one of the first pages in the search engine. Your content on your website is very important and that it is keyword optimized.
Since consumers often will type in whatever comes first to their minds within a search engine field, you want a variety of different keywords that may mean the same thing. This may mean a variety of words that pertain to or concerns the same thing and the best way to enter these keywords into your website would be to have articles, blogs, forums, and other items of interest to consumers were the key words are used in a frequent but pertinent and unique manner
Another way to gain website traffic is to have as many pages linked to your website as possible. Again, this is where website content comes in. You'll have a list of available materials for a consumer to read that are keyword optimized, all linked to your website. The content can't be just gobbledygook, it needs to be unique, informative, genuine, and something the consumer wants to read. Spamming is not allowed and there's software programs hooked to these search engines that if it considers your content spamming, will kick you right back to the hundreds page on the search engine
Be sure that your website is keyword optimized, complete, not messy or have too many flashing banners, and it's easy for consumers to find the information they want. Link all of your content pages to your website, and that you have been submitted to a variety of search engines so you can gain website traffic.
